Christopher Krohe, CEO/Owner
Chris prides himself on his role as the driving force and guide behind our business. It is his intention to create a company that balances faith and family, adheres to our core values, and constantly serves our clients and investors. For nearly 20 years Chris has worked in the real estate and construction industry throughout Chicagoland. In that time he has executed hundreds of real estate transactions, built numerous construction projects, managed 100+ real estate agents and helped his clients reach their individual goals.
Chris is also dedicated to being a devoted husband to his wife, Meg, and a loving father to his 4 wonderful children. A resident of Western Springs, he continues to be very active in many sports, outdoor adventures, coaching, cooking and traveling. He has a passion for helping others and has volunteered at Hepizbah Children’s Association in Oak Park, has built houses for Habitat for Humanity, is an Elder at his church and is an active member on several committees and boards.

A: “How do you pick just one? I love food, beer and of course a good whiskey!”
What’s your favorite holiday?
A: “It would be a tie between Christmas and Easter. They are the beginning and end of the greatest gift ever given to me.”
What are your favorite hobbies?
A: “Who has time for a hobby?”
What’s your all-time favorite book?
A: “My current favorite is Red Notice by Bill Browder, a book “based on a true story of high finance, murder and one man’s fight for justice.”
What’s a fun fact about yourself that people might not know?
A: “I was a 3 sport all-state athlete in HS and played basketball in college.”
Amanda Austin, Director of Commercial Real Estate
As Director of Commercial Real Estate, Amanda, who is a real estate broker, oversees the site selection for our property development projects.
Previous to joining KrohVan, Amanda worked in the software industry for over 25 years as a Sales and a Business Development Executive focused on creating strategic relationships with Fortune 500 companies and identifying profitable integration opportunities with partners in the technology industry.

Do you have a favorite local restaurant?
A: “Sushi Ukai in La Grange. The owners Lily, Dong, and Anna are always so welcoming and treat us like family.”
What’s your favorite holiday?
A: “Thanksgiving! Besides enjoying the time together with our large family, I can never get enough of our family’s turkey and stuffing.”
What are your favorite hobbies?
A: “Skiing – my family goes to Colorado every winter. It’s become our favorite trip and it’s fun to ski together on the mountain. We are also diehard Northwestern fans, and you can always find us tailgating at all the home football games. Go ‘Cats!”
What’s your all-time favorite book?
A: “I Will Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. It’s especially relevant as our oldest heads off to college in the fall.”
What’s a fun fact about yourself that people might not know?
A: “I got my motorcycle license 5 years ago.”
Steph Christian, Administrative Assistant
Steph’s focus is on keeping the office organized and ensuring our staff is connected to our clients and partners. Steph works closely with our suppliers and contractors and any other new challenge the day brings!

A: “Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day.”
What are your favorite hobbies?
A: “Family, hiking, crossword puzzles, gardening, music, singing, reading, cooking, wine tasting……. It’s hard to find time to work!”

A: “Any good murder mystery with multiple plots”
What’s a fun fact about yourself that people might not know?
A: “I’m passionate about animals, I was an apprentice dog trainer for Lutheran Church Charities for over 4 years, I have a fish pond in my yard and yes the fish have names, I LOVE to take our 5 grandkids on trips without their parents.”
